On Reuters’ website today, there is an article about the judge in the class action suit against Trump and his now defunct Trump University unsealing the evidence in the case. In it, Trump is quoted as saying the following at a recent campaign rally:
“I have a judge who is a hater of Donald Trump. A hater. He’s a hater,” Trump said.
“We’re in front of a very hostile judge. The judge was appointed by Barack Obama,” Trump said, adding he believed Curiel [the judge in this case] was Mexican.
Directly below the quote, Reuters adds:
Curiel is an American who was born in East Chicago, Indiana, and graduated from the Indiana University School of Law.
There is no need for me to analyze or characterize this report. The information speaks for itself in illustrating that there is apparently no limit to Trump’s bigoted remarks and self-interest to the point of criminal contempt.
Perhaps Trump’s VP pick will become the silver lining is this political disaster when he is impeached, as someone who apparently believes he is already above the law undoubtedly will. He has already made plenty of enemies, and it looks inevitable that he will hand them the rope by which he will hang (figuratively, of course).
