Soft Banana-Oatmeal Cookies

1 cup butter

1 cup white sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon banana extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon all spice

¾ teaspoon nutmeg

2 cups all-purpose flour

3 cups quick oats


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 C)

In a medium bowl, cream butter, white and brown sugar.

Beat in eggs, one at a time

Stir in banana extract

Mix in baking soda, salt, all spice, nutmeg

Mix in flour and oats

Grease cookie sheet

Use a standard size serving spoon to roll dough in a ball and drop on cookie sheet

Bake for 11-12 minutes

Allow to cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire rack


Every time I make these the first dozen goes before they have a chance to cool down! My family really loves ‘em.
